Recently, I have been wanting to learn more about DNS and to be able to build my own CDN architecture on a budget. With this being a relatively small project (and really low traffic to my websites) I only plan on using a couple machines in different regions of the world to keep down costs. Also due to the rising costs of IP space and other factors, I was not going to chose anycast as the primary method to route requests, instead, I have chosen to look into building a GeoDNS using PowerDNS.
